Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Tablefire

What is Tablefire?

Tablefire is a tool that extracts structured data from PDF documents. Whether you need tables, text, or specific data fields, it converts PDF content into usable formats like CSV, JSON, or Excel. Tablefire is currently pre-launch and not yet open to sign-ups.

How will the credit system work?

Credits will be used to process your PDF documents. Each page is planned to consume 1 credit, charged once at upload — re-extraction, edits, OCR, and exports free after that. The free tier is settled: 10 credits every month plus a one-time 20-credit signup bonus, with paid plans available on top.

Planned: charged once per upload. Each page is planned to cost 1 credit at upload time.

Re-extraction, manual edits, OCR, and exports (CSV, JSON, Excel) are included — no extra credits after the first charge.

What file formats do you support?

Tablefire will support PDF files at launch — native and scanned — extracting tables, text, and other structured data from them. Support for more document formats is planned after launch.

Is my data secure?

Security is a first-class requirement. Uploaded documents will be encrypted in transit and at rest, deleted automatically after the retention period, and removable by you at any time. We do not sell your data, and we only share it with the infrastructure providers that run the service — they are named in our Privacy Policy. Today, before launch, the only personal data we hold is whatever you choose to send us through the contact form.

How reliable is the extraction — and how do I check it?

Results depend on the quality and structure of your PDF documents; scanned or complex layouts are harder than clean digital tables. That is why every extracted field carries a confidence score, low-confidence cells are flagged for review, and every value is traceable back to its location in the source document — so you can verify anything before export.

Can I extract data from scanned PDFs?

Yes — OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is planned for launch and will extract text and data from scanned PDFs and images. Results depend on the quality of the scan: clear, well-lit documents with good contrast work best.

What export formats are available?

Extracted data will be exportable as CSV, JSON, and Excel (XLSX) — ready to import into spreadsheet applications and databases, or to consume programmatically via JSON.

How long will my documents be stored?

24-hour automatic deletion by default. Uploaded documents are deleted a day after processing on every plan; there is no longer-retention tier. You can also delete them manually at any point before that. Tablefire is an extraction tool, not a storage system. Nothing is stored today in any case: it has not opened yet.

Can I use Tablefire for commercial purposes?

Yes — Tablefire is built for commercial use, and the planned paid tiers are designed around business workloads with higher credit limits and priority support. Our Terms of Service will cover the specifics at launch.

Do you offer an API?

An API for enterprise customers is on the roadmap, not in the initial launch. If programmatic access matters to you, tell us through our contact form — early interest shapes what we build first.

What if I need help or have a problem?

We're here to help! You can reach out through our contact form, or email us directly at support@tablefire.io. We typically respond within 24-48 hours.

Will I be able to cancel anytime?

Yes — the plan is that subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account settings, staying active until the end of the current billing period. Final subscription terms will be published with the Terms of Service at launch.
